Do you want to rent in Sheffield or Greater Manchester?

The last few weeks have been extremely busy for us at Intus Lettings. Behind the scenes we have been working on the show homes at both Great Central in Sheffield and The Interchange by Media City. Both of these developments will be ready for tenants to move in at the start of 2021 and, following a huge amount of interest throughout construction, we have decided to hold viewing days at both locations.

Great Central, Sheffield

Great Central is an exciting new addition to the Sheffield rental market that is located close to Sheffield’s thriving city centre. The development includes 131 sleek and modern studio, one-bed, two-bed and three bed apartments, all of which are fully furnished and a select few have spacious balconies that offer breath-taking views of the city. As tenants at Great Central, you will also have access to a landscaped outdoor communal courtyard and secure bike storage.

The development is located in the Shalesmoor District of the city which is within walking distance to the city centre and is directly next to the trendy area of Kelham Island. The development also has excellent public transport links with a bus and Supertram stop just a short walk away. Great Central will offer the very best of inner-city living in one of the UK’s fastest growing cities.

Kelham Island has seen the conversion of many old industrial buildings, with new student and residential housing units and several office spaces all being developed. After the completion of these conversions, the regeneration stagnated, only for the food and drink trade to spearhead a fresh wave of regeneration and bring a new lease of life into the area. In recent years there have been a large number of independent businesses popping up in and around Kelham Island as it continues its trajectory of being one of the most up and coming areas in Sheffield.

From vintage markets to food and drink festivals, and small pubs to craft breweries, the massive influx of independent businesses, coupled with the ever growing property market in the area, has solidified Kelham Island as the go-to place for young professionals and students looking to rent in Sheffield. Residents are now spoilt for choice when it comes to dining on the Island, with local favourites including Peddler, the monthly street food night market, The Milestone and The Cutlery Works. Places to drink go hand in hand with eating out, and Kelham Island ‘s regeneration has provided residents with a plethora of new and exciting places to drink. The Kelham Island Tavern and the Fat Cat are renowned real ale pubs on the Island, and bars and cafés such as Pina and The Gatehouse offer a wide variety of wines, cocktails, beers and spirits.

The Interchange, Media City

The Interchange is the perfect home for the working professional. Located only minutes from MediaCityUK and a short drive or Metro link tram journey from Manchester city centre, The Interchange is comprised of one- and two-bedroom high specification apartments, spread over four storeys.

Each apartment is designed to maximise the potential of the space to create large, bright living environments for residents. Contemporary bathrooms and kitchens are complemented by modern fixtures and fittings throughout, as well as parking on selected units, secure bicycle storage and a communal courtyard available for all.

There are few places as dynamic and exciting to live as Greater Manchester right now. MediaCityUK, home to the BBC, ITV and Kellogg’s, as well as 250 other media and digital companies, is a magnet for innovation and continues to draw some of the UK’s best business minds to the area. There is also a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance as well as cultural highlights such as the Lowry Theatre and the Imperial War Museum North.

These apartments also benefit from being so close to Manchester City Centre. The city is brimming with everything from arts and culture to a variety of shops, bars and restaurants. The city has a thriving nightlife scene, with clubs and bars to cater for a plethora of tastes. The Northern Quarter is also one of the most popular areas in the centre thanks to its vast array of independent trendy bars and restaurants, whilst Spinningfields offers something for those looking for something a little more upmarket. Market Street and The Arndale are right at the heart of the retail district and you will find an abundance of high street stores.
